A wide field image of the area
around the Garnet Star in the constellation
Cepheus. The Bayer designation for this star is
Mu Cephei. This
is a 7 minute exposure captured November 13, 2004
on 35mm Fuji ISO 1600 color film at prime focus
through an 80mm refractor piggybacked on a 10-inch
Newtonian used as a guide scope. Note that there
is some darkening of the field toward the edge of
the image, which is typical of this refractor
when used at prime focus.
